This informative session will begin with a little connection, inviting Arabic women to come together and enjoy a coffee and chat from 9-9:30AM before GenWest take you through an informative and lively discussion in language, answering all your questions about Covid-19 and exploring how to maintain positive mental health through the pandemic.

Come join Jay from the Centre for Multicultural Youth's Welcome Sports, Tyson from Le Mana Pasifika, and a range of local sporting clubs, as they take our YOUTH on a sporting journey to help move bodies and connect hearts through sport through working together as a team in rugby and soccer. They'll also share information on how young people can get involved with local clubs.

Come connect in with nature and help create a place to escape to at our beautiful Kororoit Creek with this facilitated workshop with Firekeepers & Friends of Kororoit Creek. You will help FoKC make the bug rug place beautiful by contributing your energy to the space - planting, moving and grooving. Followed by a calming nature connection session with Firekeepers that will galvanise your senses. A beautiful session where you give back to nature and nature gives back to you.

Toolbox Grade 6 Parent Information Session. Sponsored by Ardoch

Open to Grade 6 and high school parents of students who attend schools with Ardoch Partnerships, this parent information session will explore the Toolbox Program students are engaging in so that parents can help their children build their emotional and social toolbox at home too! Toolbox offers Wellbeing workshops designed for students by psychologists. Toolbox gives students the practical tools they need to overcome life’s challenges. We deliver programs to help kids thrive.

Join the Western Bulldogs Foundation facilitators as they empower youth (11-18) to see themselves as leaders in the community and to share their important voices. In this workshop, young people will identify leadership traits and what it means to be a leader in your community.

Family Storytelling & Nature Connection with Mrs Ticklebottom and Firekeepers

Join in the family fun with this lively session down at our community's beloved Kororoit Creek. Firekeepers will get you moving in nature with games that will ignite your senses and Mrs Ticklebottom will join the fun from 4PM for a frollicking storytime adventure that will teach the young ones how to take care of nature so that it can continue to fuel our wellbeing.

Led by Standby Support, one of the leaders in suicide provention, this safe and inclusive workshop will provide the community with the opportunity to increase their awareness and understanding of suicide bereavement and to learn basic support skills.

Led by Money Matters, this workshop is aimed to educate parents/ carers and teenagers of 5 key principles that can be used to facilitate engaging and real life conversations with their teenagers about the value of money. These principles will assist households to navigate dinner table conversation to support teenagers' understanding of how to manage their money effectively to achieve financial wellbeing as adults.

Immerse yourself in these two beautiful interactive installations from The Recollective artist, Talitha Fraser. Nestled at the front of the school, under the iconic and age-old Ash Tree, these installations are part a curated series of reflections to assist individuals and communities as we recover living through a pandemic by allowing space for our strength and wisdom, loss and grief, and anger.

Come crown yourself, self reflect and recognise your strengths and achievements, or come bury something you are grieving and want to let go of.

In this very special connection session for newly arrived youth aged 15-25, Centre for Multicultural will create a safe and inclusive space for newly arrived youth to unite, creating friendships across cultures. Over pizza and banter,  young people will explore some big ideas around identity, diversity, belonging, acceptance and allyship, and the role they play in creating unified communities.

The event will be facilitated by Thomas and Christopher O’Reilly; two young leaders, advocates and educators from Brimbank who run the 3020 Exchange, a community neighbourhood Facebook group for Albion, Sunshine and surrounding suburbs.

You will have the choice to combine and mix an assortment of salts to your customised individual blend; blend body oils into your mix; whilst adding an uplifting blend of essential oils and or botanicals to your creation.

Still Life Meditation with Lisa Zito offers affordable, secular meditation and mindfulness sessions for wellbeing to adults, teens and older children in a relaxed and supportive environment. She is dedicated to sharing the benefits of meditation, including feeling a bit more at ease with ourselves, feeling happier, more compassionate and connected to those around us. Her dream is to one day see meditation and mindfulness become part of the curriculum of every school in Australia.  She is a Mediation Australia accredited practitioner.

Foodbank Victoria has developed a bespoke Mobile Market truck that can transport up to 8 lines of fresh fruit and vegetables. They'll be at our festival helping feed our community fresh fruit and vegetables across 3 sessions on Thursday 24th March.

Caring can be complex and challenging. One in eight people at any time provide unpaid care or support to someone in their lives. Carers Victoria is here to assist.
This workshop provides information about the support services available to family carers and the service organisations that provide those services. It also includes information about how to access the Carer Gateway.

This inclusive and safe workshop, led by CALD community experts ADEC, will provide the CALD communities with information about advocacy and how to advocate for yourself or your loved ones.

Budgeting For Future Financial Wellbeing with Money Matters

Facilitated by Money Matters, this workshop will uncover key budgeting tools that adults need for future financial wellbeing. It is targeted towards adults who have not actively used budgeting in their personal lives before or very minimally. Budgeting will be broken down into a clear format so participants can gain exposure through practical application of the important elements that contribute to an effective budget. Participants will leave the workshop equipped with tools which they can immediately transfer into their everyday lives and more confidence in their future financial wellbeing.

Headspace Family Peer Support Open Space with Anna

Need someone to talk to who has a lived experience of caring for and supporting a young person with mental ill-health? Want to ask questions about Headspace services? Come visit the Headspace open and safe space and have a yarn to family peer support worker, Anna. Your chat will be entirely confidential and only one person (or parents/carers of the same child) will be allowed in the space at one time.

Mental Health Info Session in Easy English for Migrant and Refugee Women with GenWest

This safe and inclusive workshop, facilitated by GenWest, specifically for migrant and refugee women, will cover key aspects of mental health; providing you with all the information you need and answering all your burning questions. All deliverd in easy English.

Headspace Family Peer Support Information Session with Anna

Do you have a young person in your life you are caring for with mental ill-health? Supporting a young person with mental health issues can be an isolating journey. Facilitated by the wonderful Anna, a family peer support worker from Headspace, this information session will give you all the information you need about the Family Peer Support Program and other Headspace parenting programs that will connect you to other parents traveling the same road, so you feel a little less alone.

Fitness & Wellbeing with Kevin McAlister from Lift Your Wellbeing

The Lift Your Wellbeing experience will be an interactive body weight exercise session for parents and adults, designed for all levels of fitness. This session will require no equipment and will showcase how 30 minutes of movement can positively transform your physical and mental health.
This session is for adults only and will finish with a discussion about practical ideas for parents to support the wellbeing of their kids and why it matters for their mental health as well as their school performance.

Diversity Collage Workshop for 12-24YO with Liz from Studio Hibiscus

“Collage” is a French word meaning” to stick”. Come along and have fun while you create your own unique collages Liz’s random collection of vintage books and mags and which represent your uniqueness, diversity and who you are. 

You never know what will happen with collage! Collages will be transformed into paste ups around Sunshine!

Make & Take Salt Making Workshop with Julia from Body Botanicals

Treat yourself to the many benefits of salt on the nervous system with this uplifting make and take workshop. You will make your own 500 grams of aromatherapy bath soaks and Body Scrub. You will have the choice to combine and mix an assortment of salts to your customised individual blend; blend body oils into your mix; whilst adding an uplifting blend of essential oils and or botanicals to your creation.

The Recollective

Immerse yourself in these two beautiful interactive installations from The Recollective artist, Talitha Fraser. Nestled at the front of the school, under the iconic and age-old Ash Tree, these installations are part a curated series of reflections to assist individuals and communities as we recover living through a pandemic by allowing space for our strength and wisdom, loss and grief, and anger.

STILL LIFE MEDITATION WITH LISA ZITO

Still Life Meditation with Lisa Zito offers affordable, secular meditation and mindfulness sessions for wellbeing to adults, teens and older children in a relaxed and supportive environment. She is dedicated to sharing the benefits of meditation, including feeling a bit more at ease with ourselves, feeling happier, more compassionate and connected to those around us. Her dream is to one day see meditation and mindfulness become part of the curriculum of every school in Australia.  She is a Mediation Australia accredited practitioner.
